Points question

I have a gallon 1980 4.5 horse mercury I need to adjust the points. What feeler gauge do I need to use? I can't find any specs on it.

Since nobody jumped on this a comment: Been decades but I think I recall points running around 0.018" and plugs 0.030". Try it, you won't hurt anything.
