points and condensor

Hey Guys, I want to ge a spare set of points and condensor for my 73 luhrs with 318's I believe they are the prestolite units. Is there an off the shelf set I can pick up at NAPA auto parts?

Probably, but be very careful to get the right rotor--there are two types and they don't interchange.

Have you thought about converting to a Pertronix Igniter electronic ignition? They work great and you don't have to deal with points or condenser. I always had trouble starting my Houseboat with a 318 Chrysler. After I swapped in the Pertronix, no more problems.

I do plan on going the electric route eventually, but they are running so damn good id rather spend my money on things that need my attention NOW. but yes that along with edelbrock carbs are on my list.
