I want to take off the carb and clean it up and I want to know if there is anything I should know before I do.

"Ricky.... When you remove the upper carburetor body (spliting the carb), you'll see a high speed nozzle that is aimed down each throat. Those two nozzles are attached to the lower body by two screws. It requires a special tool to align those nozzles so that they are perfectly centered. If you do not have that tool, I strongly suggest that you carefully scribe a sharp line completely around the portion that the screws are in. That would give you a fairly good reference point to center them upon reassembly.

Should you desire to purchase the tool, I have one that I would sell.

"Ricky.... It's unlikely that you would want to invest in a special tool that you may only use once. It has been unavailable for many years and it's last price back around (I believe) 1978 or so was in the area of $55.00. If you scribe the outline on those nozzles as I mentioned previously, you should do okay. However, in answer to your question, I'd sell the location tool for $30.00 . Good luck with the carb work.
