I have a 1989 Evinrude 6 hp.

I have a 1989 Evinrude 6 hp. The Clymer manual says to gap (QL77JC4) to .040 and the Owner/Operator manual says to gap to .030. Which is correct.
I would like to make sure it is right when I winterize.

Gap them at 40 the owners manu

Gap them at 40 the owners manuel was produced before omc decided it was better to gat at 40 to cure fouling on the plugs at no wake speed
