Please tell me someone has a 2004 johnson 4hp 4stroke!!

Just got a 2004 Johnson 4 stroke 4 hp from a trade,
Motor runs, but gas is literally pouring out of the carburetor, and looks
Like there's a hose missing from another port. Searched all over
The internet and can't find a complete picture of what it's supposed to look like. Any help is much appreciated!

They do look very similar

Yeah I've seen the diagram on crowly, but looking for an actual photo on one hooked up.,
Basically the top tube pointing to the right doesnt have a hose on it, and the there's a hole below it facing the same direction which is where the gas is pouring out from
 
But they do appear to be identical, I'll try searching the other route. And hopefully someone on here has the same motor and can just snap a pic of theirs.

ITYWF that the tube is a vent. AFAICS no hose is shown in any of the parts lists.

If you have gas pouring out you need to look at the float and its associated valve # 6 and #10 in the diagrams already posted. Clearly the valve is not closing properly

I do not know whether or not you should be able to post pictures from your phone ( mine makes phone calls) but you may not be able to post pictures as a new member

Here is a diagram of a later type of carb fitted to Suzukis from mid 2004 onwards. As you can see it has 2 air vent hoses (#16). Why 2? I don't know.

I'm just gonna buy a new carb. Called the closest Jonson dealer to me and he said they don't work on em that old ��
 
Your best investment would be a manual.-----Sounds like you may need to do your own work.----Repairing a leaking carburetor may involve some cleaning with no money spent !!
