I have a good friend that is disabled and loves to fish the river where we live. His Mercury motor just tore up (broken rings) and he has another Mercury but it needs an electric starter, as he is not able to pull a pull start.
Well the motor he has that needs the starter is a 1975 Mercury 200 (20hp) The local dealer tells him there are non available. Well now he's all depressed, because fishing is his life.
So I am looking to help him out and hopefully someone can help me. He needs the starter and the mounting clamp, but we can probably build the clamp if we can get him a starter. Doesn't really matter if the starter needs rebuilding, we can get that done.
Any information will be greatly appreciated!!
