" I recently bought an outborad that was suppossedly a 25HP Evinrude "sportster". The model number on the tag says "FD-15" which sounds to me like a johson model number altough i can't find it on the chart on this site. the serial number is 2188628. if the bracket has been changed, where (if anywhere) can i find the serial on the engine block?? if anyone can tell me the year and horsepower of this engine i'd be very greatfull. "
