please help me identify model

Hi and greetings from Australia,

First post - searched but no help.

I have finally purchased my first boat. Its a savage tinny with a 30hp mariner.

as I am always keen to tinker and service things myself I thought it best to find manuals etc to help me along my way. Im also keen to see if this 30 hp model may be a de restricted 25 hp or a restricted 35 or 40 hp.

Problem is I punch in the serial number and keep getting nothing.

I am suspectng thus motor may be based on a tohatsu sold by mercury but re badged I 2003 as a mariner.

But nothing specific.

any help from someone in the know would be greatly appreciated.

motor is great, gets up to 22 knots pushing 2 ppl and gear in a front steer 4.0m savage with gear on flat estuary. Cruising is about 16 knots. But I want more meat at cruise and some more prop. Boat rated to 35hp.

Weird thing is I am finding nothing on a 2003 mariner 2 cyl.
I can only find bits for a merc up to 97 with serial number OG******
its like this engine which was under mariner badge was super secret or something.
I first came unstuck when trying to order composite reeds. Unfortunately no one can help and I need to basically pull it apart and measure it all up before someone is willing to assist further.
unless I am just looking in the wrong places...

it appears this could be a 40hp donk

main differences are larger main jets and different reeds. Probably a handful of advance. But I need to get my hands on a manual for each.

dont know if it is worth tinkering with to get more hp but I got a base modle I can find parts for now.
