I have a mercruiser 3l 1999 which i bought last year it had been out of the water for 3years. We had been out quite a few time in it, and needed to top fuel up so went to the marina filled up and since then we have had nothing but problems it starts fine, goes along slowly and as soon as you start to go any descent speed it shakes and cuts out, the only speed it likes is snail speed about 5mph. we have had a marine company check ignition system, remove carb, strip and clean, clean distributor cap, new plugs, replace fuel filter, retune and replace drive belt.
Great started up aweek later went out yippee some speed stayed out for about 2hrs fishing and then it started again, no power and had to crawl back to land. Can anyone help.
