Please help 2006 75hp EFI 4 stroke

Hi thank you in advance for your time. I bought grandpas boat. 2006 crestliner fishing boat. Less than 100 hours on the engine. Boat only started once in last 12 months. Had 1/3 tank full of gas. I took it out for first time today and all day it started right up. I ran it full speed for about 10 minutes then fished for awhile. Went I went to take off this time it didn't go more than 10-15 mph. It was doing 40-45 earlier. It wasn't bogging up and down it just wouldn't go faster than. I know plugs and bad gas are possibility. Any help I would appreciate. This motor is in prestine condition, my grandfather babied all his toys and always kept up maintanance.
 
get rid of the bad gas..clean the tank or replace it if it is portable...replace the filter under the cowl..install a water filter in the gas line between the bulb and the motor..check or have a tech check fuel rail pressure..you have contaminated the system...merc sells a cleaner for about 12 bucks..it is a yellow gas additive fluid that may work or may not...the problem should take less than 2 hours for a tech to clean it up..
