PLEASE HELP 1989 Force 150hp ignition

I have an 89-92 150hp Force motor. I am having an ignition problem it is missing on 3 of the 5 cylinders. I don't know if it is a coil pack problem or a power module problem.

Yes, trigger would be my first guess - which cylinders?

Each CDI pack is capable of firing two cylinders so you will have 3 packs total (retail over 600 bucks a piece at a Merc dealer).

Anyhow, I have seen "half a pack" go since it really is two separate units in one box - that would mean at least 2 and maybe (parts of) all 3 were toasted which is unlikely.

Likewise, the stator is all cross wired on these (nighmare) Prestolite ignitions so they tend to either provide power for all cylinders or none which makes it an unlikely candidate as well...
