"Piston Broke"

O/K an old joke but I am not really laughing.
Seemed a nice day for a gentle potter down the river on Friday, so started the engines to warm up, when suddenly a “bang” - engine stopped. That doesn’t sound good I thought! Engine completely “jammed” up.
So .. decided to start to strip down and found a broken Camshaft. Now these are very rare and impossible to source and that’s before I get to the main block and crank to see what damage has been done.. So it looks terminal..
Question… will an auto B234F Camshaft work? As I could look for one from a Volvo breakers.

Quick on-line look and there is a Ajusa B234F inlet camshaft - part number 93062700 and it looks similar. The camshaft that has broken is the one with the distributor attached. It would be good if this is confirmed or not so I can progress or make a decision regarding engine replacement.
