I have a pinging noise under t

I have a pinging noise under the flywheel of a 1995 Evrinude 48. Is that normal? It has always done it since I got it 4 years ago but seems to be more often now. Wondering if this could be related to my charging problem.

You might need to purchase the correct length bolts for the hardware store. You want them to thread in all the way but not through the flywheel where it will contact something inside the flywheel area. A simple depth measurement is required to make sure.
When everything is tight - wrap it with a mallet to break the flywheel loose from the tapered crankshaft. Be patient! It takes care not to damage anything during the process."
