I would like to thank you all

I would like to thank you all for help in the Weber conversion. I have purchased a Pertronix ignitor for my Volvo. I'm not sure if I have a 12V pos gnd or a 12v neg gnd on my boat. I'm not sure where the red and blk wires hook up. I have read past posts about checking for Ohms through the coil and it should be greater than 3 ohms. Any help would be greatly appriciated.}

"Matt, I would not think that

"Matt, I would not think that you have a pos. ground in this application. Negative ground systems are by far more common. I would verify that the neg. batt terminal is somehow connected to the engine block. The installation instructions for the Pertronix ign. system are available on line. I also called the company, tech. support, when I had questions on my installation. They were very helpful. Hope this helps."

Matt, you need a Pertronix 2842 kit. An the ground in negative. Your coil should be 3 ohms (internal resistor) and your current coil should work with the Pertronix kit with no problems.
