Penta 4.3 Ignition module

I have a 2001 4.3 with a problem. I have excellent spark from the coil to distributor, but virtually no spark to the plugs. I have a new distributor and rotor, new wires, and a new ignition module......less than a year old. Could my module be bad, or does anyone have a suggestion of how I can trouble shoot?

If you have spark from coil to distributor ignition module is fine, look at cap rotor and plug wires. Might be shorting inside cap

check that rotor is contacting the cap under the coil wire the spring loaded metal conductor can fall out

Not sure how to reply, but if it goes thru......thanks. I was going to replace module again....you saved me. I'll try in the morning
