"I have replaced my 2 cylinder Penta with a recon Penta MD2003. I purchased a used Penta 120s saildrive to fit the 2003 but the fitting to the bell housing on the engine is totally different. The saildrive has a round connection with seven bolts round the periphery; I guess this is to fit onto one of the MD11 series with the flywheel mounted on the front of the engine. The bell housing has 6 bolts in a rectangular configuration.
There is no chance of making a plate to cobble the two together as the vertical dimensions are different, which means I must replace the gearbox! Do any of you know what gearbox I need?
