Oxygen Sensor Sockets I am buying are not deep enough

Trying to do a manifold swap on my 2010 and the Oxygen Sensors I am able to buy locally are too short to install the new sensors without jamming the wires in there. Can anyone recommend one or advise if there is any reason not to get an offset version. I wasnt sure if that thew off the torque or created a cleanance issue.

Found a really deep socket at Napa this morning but the socket is now too thick to fit in the recess. Anyone know where to get a proper one?

With all the bull about the sensors on these motors i would revert back to regular ign and a carb

They make a trick socket for that with a slot in the side for the wire.

I know the problem is I bought two, one was not long enough (Tekton) and the other was too fat(Napa)

If you know a welder, he/ she could weld an attachment to the too short one and away you go. Got lots of custom welded tools in my shop for oddball jobs.

Ps: I keep all of my old, duplicated sockets to use for things like this.

EXACTLY why I reengined with 5.7MIE ( 2bbl/Thunderbolt)...
