oversize cyl

honed cyl now reads 3.516 is this enough to go to .020 oversize rings with new piston old piston bad engine 90hp johnson

thanks for info year is 1983 johnson 90hp 4 cyl the three other cyl still show 3.502 to 3.504 hoping to go back std rings i got some readings on bad cyl after honing between 3.516 and 3.514 hoping .020 rings will help comp without taking to a shop do you think this is possible as always money is a issue on what i can do

Just have the one hole bored to oversize and put std rings on the pistons in the other three. You should be fine, as you don't have to bore them.

I hope you are not thinking of putting a standard piston with O/S rings in that bore that is 3.516"-----------This will simply not work !!!!!
