I have an overheating problems on my 13' whaler with a 2003 25 hp 4stroke big-foot. Recently tuned up engine filters, plugs, replaced impeller, rebuilt carb(damm ethanol), gear lube. Initial start up fine, no leaks water passage fine at idle on the hard. Prior to launch ran engine again and noticed weak stream of water. The trouble shooting begins.
Kind of at a stand still at this point...
Thank you in advance...
- Adequate water pressure with muffs, and intake clean and free, still weak stream while running engine.
- Pulled thermostat and cover off, applied water with muffs, ran engine very little water dischargeing from thermostat housing, eliminating the possibility of a bad thermostat, assume if there was not a restriction water would flow out of the thermostat housing significantly, not just a dribble.
- Ran water from thermostat(not installed) and water discharged fine through rear discharge outlet(pee).
- Tried running water and air through tube but very little passage.
- As stated before new impeller installed and pumps well.
Kind of at a stand still at this point...
Thank you in advance...
