Hi all, im generally new to the whole boating experience. I need help regarding an overheating issue. So i was cruising at around 3500rpm when i first got my overheat alert,i switched the engines off and took the engines out of the water to check for any kind of garbage that might have been stuck there, they were clean. To make a long story short it happened about 5 times after that, i then parked the boat for about 2 hours and took off again, then i got the same alert over and over. The evinrude spe******t plugged the engines to the computer and found nothing wrong. He said that i should have kept the engines in idle for about 30 seconds to have them cool down instead of turning them off. Is that something logical, has anyone heard of anything like this before? Any help would be much appreciated.
