Overheat Damage - 150 Saltwater Series.

I recently was caught in a storm and had to run at 25 to 30 miles per hour with my heat sensor going off. Tell Tale continue show water pumping however, I now have water and air coming out of the foot. It can be best described as if someone was blowing through a straw into a cup of water. I'm worried that I have severly damaged my motor. Any ideas on what could be causing my foot to turn the water into what looks like a hot tub?

Hey mate.

Well obviously the first thing to check is to see if the impellor is functioning correctly. Sometimes it works OK but the water pressure drops which means the engine still gets too hot.
Damage may already be done to the engine, but I would refrain from running it too hot. Among other problems the pistons expand and score along their sides. This is the sort of damage I found in my engine when I bought it.
