what's the purpose of the Over ride spring on middle carb? And where is it supposed to be located when assembled, at point "A" or point "B" on the drawing?

Does your choke have 3 positions, manualy on, auto, manualy off? It allows you to manualy choke the engine. I will have to look at a manual to tell you where it is supposed to go. If I were looking at the linkage I could tell you.

Yes, it has 3 positions as you described.
Ok, I think I got it now. Now, as I know that it is used to actually invoke Manual Choke ON I know where it is supposed to go.

It doesn't go to A or B. It sticks out over part of the choke linkage so that if the choke gets accidently stuck partially closed the spring will push the choke back to the open position as you accelerate.
