Outdrive will not raise up!

1996 Volvo Cobra SX sterndrive trim button on the shifter handle (Morse) works on the lowering function, but now you flick the button up on the shifter and nothing! No sound, nothing. I tested rocker switch button inside of shifter and got 12.75 volts on both up and down wires, I also pushed red round reset button on the pump motor back at the transom and still nothing! Possible solenoid failure? Why does flicking the button down work but not when you try to raise outdrive while flicking the button up?

Ayuh,..... Sounds like a problem at the pump, jumper the up solenoid to see if it's the problem,....

There is an "up" solenoid and a "down" one...

Found that the problem was in the toggle switch on the shifter! Now to search for a toggle button for a 1996 Morse shifter! Probably just bypass shifter switch and mount aftermarket trim switch on the dash near shifter.

I had the same problem with my Morse. Ended up just putting and external switch near the other switches.
