Outdrive will not come up!!!

e outdrive will not come up. The trim motor will go down but will not work when I go to trim it up. I what can I do to see it only a switch only. I hope it only the switch. Need help please!!! Thanks Ed
 
had the same problem on my 1987 OMC 5.0. Replaced the UP Solenoid and works fine now. This was determined by troubleshooting process of elimination. Always a good idea to have the Service Manual ($45 at Marine Engine.

can anyone show is pictures of omc Solenoid that I jump to get my outdrive up.''Thanks ED
 
Get a test light. Then ground it out and test the switch.The wires comming from the handle,red,green,blue. Test the wires as you hit the switch. If they both light up the TL the switch is good. The solenoids are next. Test at the big lugs on the solenoids.
