outdrive shoots up in reverse

i have a mercruiser 260 with a mercruiser outdrive that is very slow to lower and when in reverse shoots up right away no problems raising outdrive. wondering if their was anything known to cause this? thanks.

no oil in the trim pump, air in the cylinders

Rebiuld the trim cylinders.... If not that than a NEW pump is needed.
