"Hi All,
my Volvo manual for my engine/outdrive states that the oil level in the outdrive should be checked every 14 days.
This is the extract:-
Check the oil level with the drive fully down. The oil level should be between the marks on the dipstick, which must not be screwed down when measuring the oil level. Make sure that water cannot enter the drive while carrying out the oil level check.??????
Does this mean that I have to pay 180 euros every 2 weeks to have my boat lifted out of the water for an oil level check?
How else can I stop water from entering the dip-stick hole?
Very confusing.
