Outboard wont start

i have tried everthing i no. t

i have tried everthing i no. this motor ran until u put load on it so i replaced pionts condncers and plugs checked gap and cleaned carbs will not start what should i do now
 
this is a 1960 evinrude 40 hor

this is a 1960 evinrude 40 horse model 35520 i checked no spark plugs are gapped at 30 and pionts at 20 as shown on flywheel

"u may have switched some wires...start,w/plug wires,r they switched?...i would recomend pulling flywheel,doing a thorough tune up,new parts,..a manual would be a big help,..points,must be CLEAN,..use alcohol to clean,even NEW ones...look at coils for cracks or anything suspicious.loud backfire= ign problem,.."
 
ok so i have great compression

ok so i have great compression good fire and wont start for some reason gas flows out the front of carb any ideas?

JWB... In 1961, the 40hp crank changed to 311356 which had a nut torque of 105' pounds. However, the 40hp in this post is the older style 1960 crank and I've forgotten the nut torque of this older model. Got that info on hand?"
 
i do not no the crank torque a

i do not no the crank torque and the spline on shaft is gone so i have been lining it up with flywheel and tightining tight
