I would go for it if it's just a matter of several hundred ft or yds in calm water. If there is any wind at all you better have your insurance up to date

My guess is that it will be difficult to turn and don't get in a pickle where you have to throw it in reverse.

It could work but wouldn't it be less effort to have the marina tow it? If they do any service at all they will have a little skiff they move boats around with.
