Sounds like the piston ring(s) went out on the low comp. cylinder, most likely, usually due to water intrusion, either thru the head gasket, or excess water in the fuel or even oil(if it has injection). Or if it has lots of carbon build up, possibly the rings are stuck. My advice is to pull the head on the low comp side to see how the cylinder wall/piston condition. "
