"I am lucky to own 2 mercury outboard engines and need info on them.one is a 25hp mercury serial number 9435424 and i need to know in what year and where it was built. The second has serial number C231536 I think, its not very clear. the cowling on the second engine has been painted over so i am not sure what size this is. I need to know this, the year and place of manufacture. Any help or advice on these would be very much appreciated."
 
25 hp looks like it a Belgium

25 hp looks like it a Belgium 85 model
Recheck the last number and give as much detail as you can number of cylinders pics would be great.

"Hi hamit, thanks very much for that. Had another look at the serial plate and number could be 2211836 or 2211886. Serial number is pretty corroded. I think that its a four cylinder. I tried uploading pics but site wont let me do it for some reason. Cowling is black with mercury written in red but rest of it has been painted black. Thanks again."
