Hello,
thanks for the info, i have replaced the fuel hoses, ball pump and rebuilt the carborators, and replaced the diaphram, and then tried to start up motor to tune the idle screws but now it does not start at all, i sprayed engine start into the carbs and it started up few a few seconds, i then took the fuel line coming into the engine and pumped the ball and gas is coming into the fule pump, then i took the fuel line coming off the fuel filter line going to the carbs and tried starting but nothing coming out there, is there supposed to be flow?

my question is why all of a sudden no engine start at all after all i did to it? when the original problem was no high speed when i started? any insight??

Do a spark check and see if the spark will jump a gap of 3/8" on all 3 cylinders.---The 3/8" gap is an important test !-------------If motor was not cranking over fast ( various reasons ) then you may have weak spark and a " no start condition " -testing is the way to proceed.

First a compression test. Then the spark test. The idle screws are set at 1 turn out and leave them there. Post the results of the comp/spark test.

i have 130 compression all three, spark is ok, Need more advice, my original problem had only idle speed on my 1986 85HP
Force, so i changed out ball pump, got new fuel, replaced related fuel
hoses, fuel pump diaphram, all three check valves and rebuilt carborator,
but am still not getting fuel to exit the pump to enter the carbs, while i
had the fuel pump cover off i turned over engine and put my fingers over the
tiny in and out holes on the block and did feel some in and out pressure
(dont know if that means anything) i also filled up the outlet hose going to
the carbs thinking it needed a little priming, well i got exited for about 2
minutes while it ran like charm then conked out, i think it used up all the
gas i introduced into the line but as soon as it ran out it stopped due to
lack of fuel. anybody know where i go from here?

Yes i put the new ones in just like the old ones, i am begining to think that everything i did so far was for naught, other than having all new stuff and rebuilt carbs that the problem could be the part that connects to the crankshaft inside the engine block that builds the mechanical pressure, and or the cable linkage from the controls mabe got out of wack from to much force applied or wear & tear. any thoughts?
You replaced the check valves, you put them in right?

You have said that you have even compression on all 3 cylinders !--------So the statement " part that connects to crankshaft and builds mechanical pressure " clearly indicates that you need to review a manual on how the engine works.---------So is gas going into the carburetors when you operate your manual pump ?---------Do you have spark that will jump a gap of 3/8" on all 3 cylinders ?

yes i think i got them in ok, pretty simple just had to be careful on the tapping into place on one of them, taking the out proved to be a challege,
there appears to be a gasket the same shape as the diaphram that was not there when i initially took it apart it could have been worn down to nothing and i did not notice it, anyway i ordered that gasket and will install it to see what happens,
