"This might be a complete rook
"This might be a complete rookie question and I probably already know the answer but I just thought I'd run it past a few "experts" for the heck of it.
My 200 Opti runs beautiful all weekend and then just as we're running for the launch to put her back on the trailer, the engine throttles down, then stalls. It fires back up again but quickly stalls.
I pulled the fuel line off of the filter/fuel pump and could easily siphon fuel. I poured the fuel into the carb and she fired back up and away we went with not so much as a hick-up for several more fun-filled hours. This has happened twice now this summer.
I've had it since new in 2002 and haven't changed the fuel filter or plugs since I got it. I had a bit of old gas in it too from last summer (I put stabilizer in the tank though)but I've long since burned that off and am running on fresh gas now.
Is changing the plugs and fuel filter the answer or does someone know about something that I don't?
Thanks, AL."
