"If anyone can help with this it would be great.
I have an Optimax 135 (2003)where the port fuel rail fuel pressure diaphragm has gone. Where as you can buy a replacment part for the starboard rail, for the Port fuel rail you have to buy the whole fuel rail (1500 Euros)......for a part which is maybe Euros/dollars.
Now I originally came across this problem a couple of years ago I had to call a mechanic out as the engine was running lumpy and would not tick over. The reason being that the starboard diaphragm which had failed. In conversation with the mechanic he said that these fail approx every 300hrs of use and showed me a box containing approx 15 failed diaphragms!! Conversations with other Mercury/Mariners owners showed this was not just an Optimax problem but also in common with earlier EFI/DFI engines.

Fuel Pressure diaphragms break in cars and get replaced all the time ...but this is crazy!
Does anyone know a source where I can get a couple of these at a sensible price"
