How do u check the oil in your upper and lower drive units? is there a dip stick? how do u drain it out and refill it do u need special tools?
 
what year is this drive.

You really need a manual Seloc will do # 3400 in the right hand upper corner, i got mine at west marine i know they sell it here go to the top of the page and order one.

Not trying to blow you off it's just the simplest thing they explain in the manual.

Same drive as in the previous post i just saw it a 85' ?

Ok make sure the drive is fully down. Look on the very top of the drive see a large screw in the top, unscrew it and a dipstick comes up you want it to be wet on the cut in the dipstick, not milky.

Ok for the lower look on the right side starboard side, see 2 screws one way low the second about 12 inch higher. Remove the top screw and shine a light in the hole should see the oil even with the screw hole.

Pay attention to the plastic washer, don't loose it. Me i took mine to home cheapo and bought 10 for a dollar. They have it in a draw by me. Or any evinrude dealer will have them it's universal.

Use a new one when you put the screw back in.

You ain't gonna check the intermediate drive. Big screw right above the drive remove and you will see the oil if not squeeze in till it overflows take your time with that one cause it bubbles.

Now to drain and refill top remove the first screw plug on the starboard side that you come to . Remove the dipstick, that drains the top.

The lower remove the very lowest plug and the one above it, that drains the bottom.

The intermediate, look under the drive on the intermediate, there is a drain plug remove, and then the top screw behind the drive.

To fill use a pump, can be bought at any evinrude or west marine or this site it has a fitting that goes in the bottom plug hole for the lower pump till you see oil come out the top screw hole put the plug in the top hole then remove the fitting from the bottom and quick install the plug on the bottom do the same for the top drive.

Then the intermediate install the bottom plug after drained and slowly squeeze in 7-8 oz into the top plug.

All this freekin typing with 2 fingers your gonna kill me.

thank u for your time i do have the manual but i couldn't reralkly find anything except on page 12-4 maintance, is there aother pages ? new to boating

if you got the seloc # 3400 in the upper right hand corner it's the same one as i have.

There are 2 diagrams at least one for the electric shift and one for the one we have.
 
Sometimes it's not easy to find what you are looking for in the books. In addition to my books I bought a $5 DVD of Ebay of, what I think is the Seloc Manual. With the DVD you can do a "search" to find what you are looking for.
