OMC Sterndrive 140 trim motor replacement

I had the shaft that comes out

I had the shaft that comes out of the tilt motor break. How in the world do you get the tilt motor off to replace either the shaft or the whole motor?!?!?

earlier units, the two long screws that go right through the motor housing also fasten it to the intermediate.
Later have a flange with 2 bolts.
On some hulls it helps to remove the transom boot."
