"I have a 88 cobra OMC. With the motor started, I put the boat in gear and nothing happens. Same with reverse. When i shut the motor off and put it in gear and then try to turn the prop, it is locked in gear? The same in reverse.? What the heck is goin on here? I wouldnt think the lower unit got shucked but I dont know for sure. I even pulled the plugs on the oil drain to check to see if there was any shreds of metal on the magnet. There was nothing there and the oil looked as good as the day i put it in there. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated."
