Old Style Steering help needed

I have an old cable/pully typ

I have an old cable/pully type steering system and needed to replace the cable. When I put the new cable on the sterring is now backwards. Is there a diagram some where that I could be pointed to? Or is there an easy way to explain how to fix this?
