I Have an old 330 Merccuser with TR outdrive. (88 year mod)Lazzy Day houseboat. Need to replace one and cant find . Is there somethang that will replace
 
no. the TR is unique. You need another TR drive if what you want to do is bolt a replacement straight on.
 
Ayuh,.... Houseboaters, 'n Hot Rod boaters are/have been buyin' up anything, 'n everything TR for years now...

Try searchin' in those circles....
 
put your location - the world is a big place and there's a guy up the highway from me with a complete 454 TR setup for sale.
 
The TR and TRS are unique in that the actual gear selection is accomplished within the flywheel cover -slash- transmission area, similar to that of an inboard transmission. There is no gear selection within the drive itself.
I don't mess with them, but they appear to be very heavy duty.

There is a man in the Seattle Washington area who's specialty is in the TR and TRS drives.
I don't recall who he is, but my friend Brad, at Fariview Marine, sells these used drives to him.

Brad himself may have one or two for sale.
If not, perhaps he can put you in touch with this guy.

On ebay there is a TRS or TR as they have it advertised for $700.00 used in freshwater only. There is 4hrs left on the bid and it is 4:51 on Sunday.
