"can someone share some knowledge.i just brought a half cabin boat that has an old johnson 50hp 74 model outboard on the back of it.this may sound like a silly question to some,but can somebody please tell me where the water pumps out of.for the life of me i can't even find anywhere on the motor that looks like water should come out of it.or is it air cooled or have a different cooling system to more modern motors.any knowledge on this would b greatly appreciated.motor sounds fine when going.<font color=""0000ff""><font face=""arial,helvetica""></font></font>}"

on my motor there is a hose that comes out of the lower powerhead.the hose runs around the back and out the side thrue a hole. water also runs thrue the prop.check out this pic

you can add your own tell tale , pee hole, or what ever you want to call it. heres a link.......its actually for re-doing one that has one in the wrong location (service bulletin) but the concept is the same----you just find a good location-pull the head cover-drill-and install a fitting,etc....
