A friend gave me a qd-13 johnson outboard it has not been in run years what should I do first? and what year is it? sn# is976368.

ive just bourght a johnson 40 superquiet outboard can anyone tell me how old its likley to be on the id plate it says RD 24 ????? i paid £250 for it my mate said its too big for my speedboat.any info would be gratful.cheers mike.

I bought a 1950 Johnson TN 25

I bought a 1950 Johnson TN 25 5 hp outboard. Can I use 50 to 1 oil in it instead of the oil as prescribed on the engine? If not should I use detergent or non detergent oil.
