Going to go ahead and try to get the dumb questions out of the way first...... I have an evinrude vro 50hp. unsure of the year model. How would i find that out? Next it is oil injected .....So does that mean i don't have to mix the gas? Not really that dumb just want to be double sure.....Thanks

You can pull up a chart online that will tell you the year from the model number. You don't have to mix oil with the fuel assuming the VRO is connected, and that it is working. Otherwise, the engine will be toast in short order. Most would recommend careful inspection to make sure everything is there and connected. The next step would to be to fill the VRO tank and carefully mark the level. Then run the engine on mixed fuel for a tank. Then make sure VRO level drops appropriately.

okay i will do the above... next thing.. i have no idea how long the boat has sat up.... I have changed the spark plugs and have put gas in the tank (haven't mixed it yet but we do next trip outside... What mix should i use? 16:1, 30:1, etc.) It will turn over and i can see gas in the fuel filter but it won't start. Now i know i shouldn't have but yes i did just to see if it would run i did spray starting fluid twice and it run both times so i am done doing that but it still won't pick up the gas and run . any help on that? Thanks David
