"You have a 1948 or 1949 3.6hp (they used the same model number for both years), single cylinder, recoil start.
Scott-Atwater started building outboards in 1946 and sold under names such as Corsair, Firestone, Hiawatha and their own name.
In 1956 they were bought by McCulloch (better known now for their chainsaws) but ultimately out of business as well now too.
Most tune-up parts are still available for these motors with a bit of looking around.
There is literally hundreds if not thousands of these little, no longer made, outboards out there. This particular company is not a "sought after motor" by collectors (unless it was brand new, never started, in it's original box).
If it is running condition and tuned up it may be worth 100 bucks (on a very good day).
Generally these sell for much less and you can easily pick one up for 25 to 50 bucks..."
