" I need help to identify this 4 cylinder motor. It's a dark green Johnson, and I cannot find a nameplate on it.
The only info I can get from it is......

Johnson Meteor Electra Matic

There is a small round disc pressed into a hole with an M at the top, and below the M is J2810716.

Can anyone help me Id this motor, or tell me where to look for more info ? I want to sell the motor ( the FG boat is free ) but keep the trailer. "

The colors and electramatic m

The colors and electramatic make it a 67 (lighter green and belt driven distributor ) or a 68 (darker green and a distributor mounted under the flywheel). Very rugged motors they were and lighter than the new motors.
