ok one mroe sorry 69 25hp evinrude

25-1 or one quart per 6 gallons....i used to run a 68 18hp (same motor-both weigh 77 pounds if i remember correctly) a good motor oil in it but i would probably run a good outboard oil if i was running one today...good motor and someone took a liking to it and stole it while i was hooked up and ready to go the next morning...

mine was either a 67 or 68 and it was 24 to 1 as i remember...but that was a hell of a long time ago so i could be wrong....but i remember avoiding pennzoil because it didnt mix well....

The Johnson and Evinrude motors were run at 50:1 starting in the 1964 catalogue.------------Motors last longer when run at 24:1 but that is a debate that simply will not go away !!---------Many folks just do not have a good understanding of how lubrication / oil works to do it's job.

What do you mean "sorry" 69 25hp Evinrude? If you seriously mean that, maybe it is better that you give it to somebody that will appreciate it. There are a lot of us out here.
