I have discounted the feed to the oil pump on my 1998 40hp mercury 2 stroke . Have pre mix now .Is the pump happy pumping nothing ? Presume it's lubricated by the premix if any parts inside the casting.
Any experience of this as I read removing it and adding a plug . But is that necessary and why ?
