Oil Level Caution Signal

1988-Suzuki DT30C IG Ignition/

1988-Suzuki DT30C IG Ignition/Oil Injection 30 HP outboard's alarm horn sounds intermitently at varios speeds & getting worse. Dealer claims Oil Level Sensor is saturated and sinks to bottom of oil tank with replacement parts unavailable.

How can I disengage this sensor? Remove from oil tank or disconnect electrically?

Unfamiliar with the type of motor u have but to test you may be able to fix the float at the top using a cable tie or wire to test the theory. The sensor will be a switch so follow the wires back from the tant to see if you can bypass it. If it is the problem then you need to fix it before you run out of oil and damage the engine
