Oil leak

I'd recently replaced impeller, shaft seal, gear lube change. Just noticed there was some oil leakage from
the slot/vent as pointed in picture. I'd topped the lube oil as instructed and also got new plug screws too.
my question, is the leak from the shaft seal that I newly installed or a little bit of oil is normal?

It might be unburned fuel/oil mixture,or residual oil from previous bad seal. Run engine and check l/u oil afterwards for water intrusion and proper level

I removed the bottom end today, I'm pretty sure it's the fogging oil I'd sprayed prior to winterizing. I think the oil slowly seeped into the water pump. Does that make any sense?

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those fish:p
right now the bucket in my backyard will have to do, going to fire it up this weekend.
