"I have a 1994 Crusader 350 (270HP) that looks like I've developed an oil leak that I think is coming from the rear seal. I need to really get in there an look at it, but it appears to be coming from directly under the joint between the bell housing and the block. It is not a drip, but more of a line that has me thinking the real seal is leaking and the flywheel is spraying the oil across the inside of the bell housing. I'm not loosing a lot of oil so it appears to be a slow leak at the moment.
From my manual, it looks like this is a one piece seal. I can pull the tranny and bell housing in the boat after blocking up the engine. My question is, can the rear seal be replaced without pulling the engine?"
