Oil leak propell shaft....

My boat and motor is now in winter stock...the motor is a 1998 Johnson 115.
l now see that it drips a little clear gear oil from the propell, it was no leaks last summer so i thinking that the steel shrinking in the winter (steady minus 10-20celcius here) and the sealing become too large in that temprature ?
What do you think....someone who has experienced this ?.....will it seal when the temprature rises ?
Since october it have leak about 2-3 teaspoonful.

Sorry, temperature has nothing to do with this.---------Did you use a winterizing / fogging oil, yes or no.------------Have the gearcase pressure tested in spring.--That is how you find bad seals on the gearcase if there are any.--------------Leakage that you see may well be normal for a 2 stroke engine that sits in storage for a while.---It may be from the oil that is mixed with the gas.---------Some of that oil goes right through the motor and collects in the exhaust housing.

I made an adapter to pressure test lower units.----------Uses a 3/8-NC threaded fitting on the oil drain hole.-----Drain the oil and install the adapter.---I use a hand pump to put in about 6 psi pressure.----Often let it sit overnight and see if pressure drops.

Drain the gearbox first then put it up to no more than 8psi and see how long it holds pressure. Pull the prop and soap test the propshaft seal just pour a little soapy water on it. If it loses pressure and you dont get bubbles out the propshaft you need to pull the gearbox and soap test the driveshaft and the shiftshaft seals. Any gearoil is too much IMO just pull the gearbox and reseal it all at once then do your pressure test during the off season.

There was several meters with thin fishing line...not nylon but the stronger type... on the propell aksel/shaft, this line had damage the outer part of the oil seal, tok only 10min to replace the new sealing...no ok :)
