oil leak or drain hole?

I recently retired after 41 years of building nuclear submarines and bought myself a older (1983) Lund 16' with a Evinrude 25hp electric start also 1983. It runs very well but after the boat sits in my yard for a few days I find a thick black oil, almost like a grease, leaking out of a hole just below the cavitation plate that's running down the prop housing and on the skeg. After checking the oil in the lower unit it is full and not the stuff that's leaking out. Like I said the oil leaking is pretty darn black and thick whereas the oil in the lower unit is thin and very clean. So I'm assuming this is burnt oil (or unburnt) from the fuel mixture and hoping there's nothing to worry about......but right now I'm worried. This motor does not have the exhaust through the prop type. The exhaust exits through the vent under the cavitation plate. So can someone shed some light on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a perfectly well functioning 2 stroke motor..... they do love to drool unburnt mix through whatever route the exhaust takes it through (prop, drain hole).
As I was told before: nothing to worry about, sleep well!
(The motor may have sat a while without being used, and the "leak" should minimize itself, the more you run it.)
